My mission is simple - to be the best remote pilot I can be and document my musings, findings and insights as a remote pilot.
I started by logically subdividing the subject domain (Awesome Remote Pilot) into 7 subdomains. A good model to use to
interact with these subdomains is that of a lens. This is best seen in the relationship between the drone and it's
remote pilot, or the remote pilot and their drone. It is a two way relationship. Studying the same operation(s) in the
context of the pilot and then the drone's context can be insightful.
To be a good remote pilot I need to have a flight worthy drone and the gear to support my assignments.
Photography is a integral part of drone flying and a understanding of photography is good, better yet is
an awareness of a computational photography and the ability to handle digital media.
Processing your photos or repairing your drone happen at your homebase. Ideally a dedicated space in which you can develop and perfect
your technics and workflows. I call this space my hangar. It's more slang than reality, but it is a dedicated space.
Culture and regulation shape a pilot's behavior and actions as remote pilot and define what a pilot
can do and what is acceptable for a pilot to do.
